I would sure appreciate it if you would keep my cousin Dwaine in your prayers. Im sure that Yall have heard about the fires all over AZ. Well the most recent fire which is called the "Monument" fire is over in my neck of the woods in Cochise County. His home is across Ramsey Canyon road which is where the evacuation line is currently. His home is a block north of Ramsey Canyon Rd and he will probably have to evacuate tonight or tomorrow if things keep going as it is. The fire started on Sunday and since it is so close he has been moving their belongings out since it started. Well now its a lot bigger and is "jumped" Hwy 92. The actual fire is still a ways away from the road and hopefully they can slow or stop it from advancing but the winds are lack of rain are not helping. Thankfully he has been working on removing the belongings and making sure there is a good cleared area around his property since it started but Id sure hate to see him lose his house as well as other friends and just all the folks out there. Anyway, if you could keep Dwaine and the rest of those affected by all these fires in AZ in your prayers I would really appreciate it more than you can know. Thanks, John

I heard from Dwaine a hr ago and so far so good with him however he had just received a pre evacuation order an hr earlier. He has all of what he can move moved so for now its just pray and wait and see. So far folks on his side (west) of Hwy 92 are fairing much better than those on the east side. The winds are terrible and they are fanning and spreading the fires really badly. I have a couple of friends that live in Hereford, one of them, Ben who's a pilot had to evacuate also, he is spending his time at Libby airfield on Ft. Huachuca working on the fire fighting aircraft. My other friend Larry has not been evacuated yet, hopefully it will stay that way. I have a friend that's a Sgt with DPS that lives close to Dwaine and he sent me some pics that he took on his cell phone this morning...unbelievable ! There was a bit of a scary time when another fire broke out near Ft Huachuca. They were calling it the Antelope fire, evidently it was started accidentally by an Army bulldozer that was clearing brush for a fire break. It spread fast and got pretty large but they got it under control thankfully. A couple other friends of mine were evacuated for that one but thankfully they are back in their homes now. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers .Be sure to keep the firefighters and other emergency personnel in your prayers too if you will. This is going to be a long hard time for all of them too! John
