Love the pics man thanks for sharing !!!! I wish we could get personal and larger photo albums on here.. I like the D17 shes a lookin good. I like them ole steam engines too. I have to admit that i know nothing about the steam engines i mean i know the basics of how they operate and stuff i just dunno the makers and such. I got to take a tour a full steam powered saw mill once though and it was awesome. Back in the day when i was a workin man i worked in a little hosiery mill that ran machines dated back to the late 1800's and early 1900's they were driven by a jack shaft set up and now we run the shafts by electric motor but the machines are still belt and pulley driven. I worked on the old technology and the newest out at the time i had to quit and i gotta say nothing beat them ole Banners (the old steam power machines). But im tellin ya that was the days before OSHA came around and they had no safety or idiot proofing at all and i have done my share of cutting hair and clothes out of them. And when a belt locked up whooooo they rip right outta the floor and travel a bit but at least when that happens you know your getting some overtime lol. They sure was a joy to work on though and i wouldnt trade em for them new ones any day. Sometimes i go back to visit and just reminisce. Anyways sorry for hijacking the thread, Thanks for the pics man !!!!!
